About Menu Overview

The About section provides background information, definitions, and supporting materials that help users understand the purpose and structure of the dashboard. When you hover over or select About in the top navigation bar, a dropdown menu appears with three options: About, Glossary, and Resources.

About

Selecting About opens a page that explains the goals of the Ending the HIV Epidemic Implementation Science Reporting Dashboard. This includes how the dashboard was developed, the research framework guiding the project, and what users can expect to find across the different sections.

Glossary

1. Continuum Target
   This dropdown allows users to filter by the stage(s) of the HIV prevention and treatment continua  addressed in the research. Selecting multiple targets is allowed.

2. Study Design
   This filter enables narrowing results by the type of research design used

3. Intervention
   This dropdown filters studies based on the type of intervention evaluated.

Clear All Button

Resets all filters and returns the display to the full dataset.

User Tips

• Use multiple filters together to locate studies focused on a specific combination (e.g., Mixed Methods + Injectable PrEP + Engagement in Treatment).
• Clear All is helpful when restarting a search or exploring multiple pathways.
• Filtering updates happen only after clicking Apply, preventing accidental changes while selecting multiple criteria.

The Study Design tool allows users to explore the types of research methodologies used in studies related to the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative. Filtering

6. EHE Priority Jurisdiction

Continuum Navigation Panels

At the top of the results section, the page displays two large colored panels representing two major segments of the HIV continuum:

1. Prevention Continuum (Orange Panel)
   Clicking any icon filters the dataset to show only studies addressing that point in the prevention continuum.

2. Treatment Continuum (Purple Panel)
   Selecting a category adjusts the table to show studies addressing treatment-related barriers and facilitators.
   These continuum panels provide a visual, intuitive way for users to start exploring the research.

Filtering

Beneath the continuum icons is a full filter bar that allows users to refine results further based on study characteristics.

Purpose

It shows how many studies reported specific implementation outcomes, based on the stage of implementation selected.

A dropdown menu allows users to switch between stages. Each stage updates the bar chart to show the outcomes measured during that phase.

Interpreting This Chart

• Taller bars indicate outcomes that appear in more studies.

This helps users identify which implementation outcomes are most commonly evaluated in EHE research.

2. Measurement Approach (Pie Chart)
   This chart breaks down the measurement approach used for a selected outcome.

View By Outcome (Dropdown Filter)

Users can change the outcome being displayed (e.g., Acceptability, Adoption, Feasibility).
